Our Engineering Team is seeking a hybrid Digital Design Engineer.
You would be responsible for the architecture, design,
implementation, and verification of complex communication and
signal processing algorithms in VHDL targeted for FPGAs and/or
ASICs. Enhancing cohesiveness and maintaining team morale is a

The essential duties and responsibilities include:
Designs module and system level architectures.
Programs modules and systems in VHDL.
Simulates both modules and systems.
Generates required design documentation.
Synthesizes VHDL to FPGA and/or ASIC.
Integrates and debugs design in the laboratory.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Develops relationships with team members built on trust and
respect.
Education and work experience requirements are:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field of
study required.
Minimum of four years' experience in communications, error
correcting codes, or signal processing preferred.
To be considered for this position, you would need to meet, at a
minimum, the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed here:
Experience with VHDL/Verilog targeted to FPGA and/or ASIC
platforms.
Experience with industry standard simulation tools such as
Modelsim.
Experience with industry standard synthesis tools such as Synplify,
QuartusII, and ISE.
Demonstrates expertise in laboratory debug techniques using digital
scopes, logic analyzers, BERTS, and other complex measurement
devices.
Works independently, demonstrates initiative and interacts with a
variety of engineering development teams.
Demonstrates strong documentation skills and proficient with PC
office applications.
Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong collaborative drive and interpersonal skills.
Strong initiative, proactive work ethic and prioritization
skills.

Able to frequently sit, stand, walk, use hands to fingers, handle

perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Additional requirements are:
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency

TrellisWare Technologies pays competitively according to the market
in an individual's geographic location, in addition to their
qualifications and experience. The posted range is for individuals
located in the San Diego, CA area. The pay range for this position
is: $115,000-165,000k, annually.
