At a high-level, the role is expected to specialize in build, performance, deployment, evaluation, hardware and related problems.You Should Apply if You

• Have at least 2 years experience working in AI infrastructure
• Are opinionated about software systems design, engineering and operation
• Have experience deploying complex infrastructure to production
• Strong proficiency in Python
• Experience with cloud and on-prem infrastructure with Kubernetes orchestration
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret ClearanceWhat You'll Do
  • Optimize our AI infrastructure for deployment on the edge in a heterogeneous set of environments:
  • on a mesh
  • on drones of various sizes
  • in an edge-computing deployment in a shipping container
  • and more
  • Develop industrial grade build infrastructure and deployment pipelines for our AI models and applications
  • Build evaluation pipeline for various large pre-trained models
  • Advise our hardware teams on requirements for deployment
  • Develop real-time observability and data collection pipelines to monitor AI systems in production
  • [Bonus] develop custom performance optimized models for edge and air-gapped deployment, and for production-grade latency, resource and accuracy performanceNice to Have
    • Experience working in small teams such as a high-growth startup
    • Experience with modern build and deployment tooling such as Nix and Terraform
    • Ability to rapidly adapt and perform as a generalist when needed
    • Experience with LLM deployment kits (such as vLLM, TensorRT-LLM, etc.)
    • Experience with CUDA C++US Salary Range: $168,000 - $252,000 USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
