Job Description:
A company is looking for a Sr Billing Specialist responsible for
first-time billing of claims to third-party payors in a remote
setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and manage billing workqueues to generate clean claims
Correct claims that have been rejected or denied by payors
Train billing specialists on handling billing edits, claim errors,
and denials
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum 2 years of experience in insurance billing within a
hospital environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
General knowledge of medical terminology, ICD9-CM, ICD10-CM, and
CPT procedure codes
Able to train others on billing processes and claim resolution
